Don’t have a nearby court? No problem. Just tape off a makeshift court in your parking lot and bring out the paddles. You’d be surprised how quickly a casual match turns competitive. 

Host a Cornhole Tournament 

A West Michigan summer classic. Cornhole is simple, social, and easy to play between meetings or over lunch. Set up a scoreboard and track wins throughout the season to crown the ultimate cornhole duo. Bonus points if you add team names and light-hearted prizes. 

Summer Happy Hours 

Nothing beats good conversation over cold drinks. You can plan a few gatherings at your favorite local spots or keep it easy with an in-office happy hour. A rotating drink/snack theme or collaborative playlist can make even a casual get-together feel festive.

Sharing a meal always helps people connect, and it gives your team a reason to step away from their desks and enjoy the season. 

Take a Local Field Trip 

Break out of the routine with a mini team outing. Whether it’s walking to a local ice cream shop, visiting a farmers market, or grabbing coffee at a new café, these short adventures create space for conversation and connection. Even a 30-minute break outside the office can feel like a reset—and offers great photo content along the way.
